The youth are the present and the future of a nation. The formation of Youth Clubs at 11 estates in Nuwara Eliya contributed toward the development of youth skills. They were encouraged to partake in micro project to improve their communities. They become leaders of their community owing to their contribution toward the community they live in.

Having Identified the problems in the area of health & Nutrition and early childhood education of 0-5 year old children in the estate sector, Child development Fund continue to work towards improving nutrition rates, and early childhood education through home base learning and ECCD centers.

Education illuminates the path to the future. While many take education for granted, there are those who have the will, but do not have the means to achieve. We at Child Fund, recognised that the children of the Estate Sector of Nuwara Eliya deserves quality education. We believe that education for these children must be beyond the Tea bus.

Many of the children studying in schools of the Estate Sector displayed poor academic performances. We address this issue by conducting supplementary classes, exam preparatory sessions with model papers, and training teachers of modern, practical and effective method of teaching, related resources and materials. We also ensured that that they would develop life skills that would benefit them in their future.
